Things to Do in Nashville: July 4, 2012

For over 20 years Nashville has celebrated Independence Day along the banks of the Cumberland River.

The Nashville Let Freedom Sing! Fourth of July celebration at Riverfront Park is an annual Nashville tradition. It always includes a variety of musical entertainment ranging from country music stars to the Nashville Symphony.

Festivities begin downtown at around noon and go on throughout the day, with the city’s annual fireworks show normally beginning around 9:30 pm.

The 2012 event is part of a two day long celebration which includes a free concert at the Lawn at Riverfront Park on July 3rd beginning at 6 pm. Country stars The Mavericks, Craig Morgan, Sarah Darling, the Music City Hit-Makers and the Nashville Symphony are set to play this year’s event.
