Surviving Nashville’s Summer Heat

The summer heat wave we’ve had over the past month has really made me miss the summers I used to spend at Sequoia around the pool.  While I am out and about during the days, I often wish that I had a body of water accessible that I could quickly jump into and cool off.  Would a bathing suit/bathing suit cover up be professional enough to show properties in??  Maybe if my clients wore the same?  One can always dream…
Anyway, growing up, unless I was away at camp, it would be very likely to find me swimming, diving, playing tennis or ping pong with great friends at Sequoia.  It was definitely my home away from home, and I would not have had it any other way.  I didn’t grow up in a neighborhood where I could walk to friends’ houses, so it was wonderful to have a place to go where I could play sports and spend time with friends.

It has been years since I’ve spent time there, and my husband and I decided it was time to see if we could do a little rallying on the tennis court.  After scrounging up our tennis racquets, we headed out there.  We only lasted about 20 minutes due to the extreme heat and sun beating down, but being there brought back all of the great memories I have of my Sequoia summers.
We have a number of wonderful Swim Clubs/Country Clubs in Nashville that offer fun summer activities for kids of all ages.  Below are some options around town:

Of course, you may have to wait a while to go swimming outdoors, as the forecast shows some much needed rain for at least the next week!
