Are you someone who likes to spend your spare time looking at homes? You see an open house sign and you immediately pull over to see the architecture or interior design of the home? You simply cannot wait for the Holiday Tour of Homes? Does that describe you? Then there is an event you shouldn’t miss this weekend in Nashville. It is something a little different for this southern city, but as a home fanatic you will love it!
The Austin based Modern Home Tour company is coming to Nashville for the first tour of modern homes in the city. There are five homes on the self-guided tour, including a home designed in 1955 by Bruce Draper, a graduate of the Frank Lloyd Wright’s Taliesin School of Architecture.
The tour is Saturday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and tickets can be purchased prior to Friday night at 8 p.m. for $30 or $40 after that on the tour’s website. A portion of the proceeds benefits the Make-A-Wish Foundation’s Middle Tennessee Chapter.
This is a wonderful opportunity to see some design elements you do not see everyday in Nashville and to support a local charity.
