It’s Friday and you have survived another week of this busy thing we call life! Don’t you think you deserve a night out? During the week you probably frequent neighborhood restaurants that you count on for a reliable good meal when you just don’t have the time or energy to cook. I know I have some that I am so grateful are just around the corner some nights of the week! I really don’t know what I would do without them.

On the weekend, I like to branch out and try some new places! Sometimes it is for a special occasion and sometimes, when I am showing houses in a neighborhood or community, I check out places I have heard good things about. If you are house hunting, having lunch or  dinner in the community you are searching in can be a great way to get to know the area.

Husk Nashville opened in May and is a huge success. If you want to eat between the hours of 6 and 9 p.m. you better plan a few weeks in advance and make reservations!

Here are some of the online resources I use when planning a new culinary adventure!

Urbanspoon.com is one of my favorites because they break down restaurants in several different categories so you can find the perfect place.

Categories include:

  • Counties
  • Cities
  • Cuisine
  • Features, such as Family-Friendly, Farm-to-Table, Gluten-Free, etc.
  • Most popular
  • Talk of the Town
  • And more!

Nashville Scene is also consistently a website I can count on. Their Restaurant Reviews and Best Of Pages that will supply you with endless choices!

Eat.Drink.Smile is a blog by a Nashville gal, name Beth and she explores local restaurants and events that revolve mostly around food and drinks! She also throws in there things that make her smile and restaurants she visits when she travels.

The blog Nashville Restaurants does reviews of places around Nashville and Tennessee. They often focus on neighborhood and smaller places, so you are likely to find a hidden gem following their blog!

Finally, have you used Open Table before? If not it is a reservation website where you can select the area or restaurant you want to go to, as well as the time you would like to go. Your search will provide you with options of dining availability around your desired time and other criteria. The site also has reviews and a blog where you can gather all sorts of foodie knowledge.

Take a minute today to explore some of these websites and find a great new place to enjoy with friends this weekend!
